Who runs the site
Toolhelix is run by the operator of Toolhelix, who can be reached at toolhelix@proton.me. By using the site you accept these terms.
What the tools are for
Toolhelix tools and pages are a practical aid to read designations, do the maths and find sizes. They are free and for information only: they do not replace standards, manufacturers' catalogues or the judgement of the person doing the work.
Where the data comes from
Sizes come from the standards named on each page (for example ISO 1832, ISO 286, ISO 273, ISO 965-1, DIN 974-1) and are checked against manufacturers' published tables. For forming taps the values are indicative ranges. Toolhelix does not suggest cutting data: speeds and feeds come from the tool maker's catalogue.
Before machining a part, always check the value against the standard and the catalogue of the tool you use: where they differ, they prevail.
Limitation of liability
We do our best to keep the data correct, but it may contain errors or not suit your case. To the extent permitted by law, Toolhelix is not liable for damage arising from the use of the site or its results, such as scrapped parts, broken tools, machine downtime or delays. This does not limit liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor the rights the law gives consumers.
Trademarks and manufacturers
Toolhelix is independent: no manufacturer or distributor is behind the site and nobody pays to appear on it. Names and trademarks of the manufacturers mentioned belong to their owners and are used only to identify products and sources.
Site content
Toolhelix texts, code, graphics and data organisation are protected. You may use the tools and quote pages with a link; systematic copying or republishing them as your own is not allowed.
Pro versions
Pro versions and paid PDFs come with their own terms of sale and licence, shown at the time of purchase.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the valid version is always the one published on this page. Italian law applies, without prejudice to the rights consumers have under the law of their own country.
